How credential recognition works (NARIC / ENIC)
How to get your overseas qualifications compared with UK standards, and where to apply.
If your qualifications were earned outside the UK, you may want a statement of comparability that shows how they compare with UK qualifications. In the UK this service is provided through UK ENIC, which was previously known as UK NARIC. Employers and regulators sometimes ask for this.
You apply directly through the official UK ENIC service. The platform signposts you to the process and explains what it is for, but we do not run the application for you or decide the outcome.
Professional registration
Recognition of an academic qualification is separate from professional registration. For many regulated roles you also need to register with the relevant UK regulator, which has its own process and standards.
